Dal Vegetable Soup Recipe

Are you bored of the usual dal gravy? Keep that aside for here we bring you the Dal Vegetable Soup that is rich in protein and contains the goodness of vegetables. Enjoy this soup with Possible’s Diet Khakra!

  • 1/2 cup Split Yellow Moong Dal
  • 1/2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Onion – small chopped finely
  • 1 Carrots – medium size chopped finely
  • 5 Green Beans – chopped finely
  • 1/2 cup Green peas
  • 1 Tomato – small chopped finely
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Black Pepper Powder to taste
  • 3 cups of Water
  1. In a pressure cooker, add oil and let it heat. Once it is hot enough add cumin seeds and let it splutter.
  2. Add in onions and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add in carrots, beans and peas. Sauté it for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Add in Moong dal and tomatoes. Pour in some water.
  5. Cover and pressure cook for 3 whistles. Turn off the heat and let the pressure release by itself completely before opening the lid.
  6. Open the cooker and add more water. Mix well and bring it to boil.
  7. Add in salt and pepper.
  8. Serve with Possible Diet Khakra.
