The insulin is a hormone produced by the pancreas which helps in converting the sugar for using it as energy for doing work. This helps the body to function efficiently. Weight Loss Pills And Diabetes

The good news is weight loss pills do not increase the risk of diabetes.

According to the research conducted at the European Association in Berlin, Germany in the year 2018, weight loss drugs can even help in lowering the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Another study conducted at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston concluded that loss drugs like Lorcaserin have been found to lower the risk of diabetes.

All weight loss pills are not the same. While some weight loss pills block fat, others control the appetite.

For the study, CAMELLIA-TIMI 61 was carried out under the supervision of Dr Erin Bohula.

The study was carried out using 1200 people who were at the risk of developing diabetes. The study was conducted for three years.

However, it is important to note that if you are already taking insulin, then Lorcaserin must be taken with precaution. Check with your doctor before taking Lorcaserin in order to avoid hypoglycemia. [1]
